Preparing for Marriage: February 10 - April 6, 2008

How long do you want this marriage to last? If you answered “Forever!”, we commend you. But we know that not all marriages last forever. Strong, long-lasting marriages don’t just happen.

If you are newly married, engaged, or in the “is this the one” stage, this class will class give you the information and tools for a lasting marriage. All principles and instructions are based on proven techniques and a Christian perspective. Join other couples in an eight-week class designed to prepare you for marriage. Ed and Donna Edwards lead the class together, giving both male and female perspectives. Classes will employ video, teaching, and discussion.

• Leader and Lover
• Support and Respect
• Talking Points
• From War to Peace
• Blazing Embers

Each participant will receive a workbook with lessons, articles, audio sessions, and questions on each topic for the couple to answer and discuss together.

The cost of the class is $75 per couple. The Prepare inventory is included in the cost (a $30 value). The inventory assesses growth and strength areas for each couple. Each couple will have one private session to review the inventory. The class will qualify pre-marrieds for a $45 discount on their marriage license.

Research has shown premarital instruction greatly improves a couple’s success in the marital relationship.

Ed and Donna Edwards have led marriage enrichment events for 20 years, have offered marriage guidance to couples for 15 years, and have taught premarital education for the last 12 years.
